Behind the Technology: How We Achieve 99.9% Dust-Free Cat Litter

Dust in cat litter is not just a nuisance that dirties living rooms — it poses serious health risks for both felines and human family members. Feline respiratory diseases, asthma, and eye infections are frequently linked to high-dust commercial litter. At MIYA Group, achieving a guaranteed 99.9% dust-free standard is a primary technological benchmark. Here is how we do it:

Manufacturing-Insights-04

1. High-Density Mineral & Raw Ingredient Screening

Dust control begins at the raw material stage. We source high-purity sodium bentonite with natural density and toughness, eliminating weak mineral rocks that easily crumble into dust during transit. For tofu litter, we select premium high-purity pea fibers with strong bonding integrity.

2. Precision Granulation & Climate-Controlled Kiln Drying

During granulation, automated high-pressure extruders form dense, smooth-surfaced particles. The granules then enter multi-tier continuous drying channels where moisture levels are brought to exact percentages (under 8%), eliminating brittleness and preventing particles from shattering into dust inside the bag.

3. The Secret Weapon: 7-Stage Negative-Pressure Dust Extraction

The core of our technology lies in our proprietary 7-stage negative-pressure cyclone dust extraction system. As dried cat litter moves along vibrating conveyor belts, air knives and vacuum suction tubes extract ultra-fine micro-particles at seven distinct manufacturing checkpoints.

4. Pre-Packaging Drop & Vibration Testing

Before final automated vacuum sealing, samples from every batch undergo drop and vibration stress testing in our laboratory to verify that friction during long-distance container shipment will not generate secondary dust.

This rigorous manufacturing engineering ensures that when your customers pour MIYA-made cat litter into their box, the air stays completely clear.
